Introduction

InviteAndGo (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides digital event invitation creation, customization, and RSVP collection services. We believe privacy should be simple and transparent for both event hosts (“Clients”) and invited guests (“Guests”). This document describes our technical data practices, what information we store, and how you can contact us regarding your personal data.

1. Information We Collect and Store

A. Host Account Information

When you register an account to create invitations, we collect your name, email address, and a salted cryptographic hash of your password using scrypt. We never store or transmit plain-text passwords.

B. Event & Invitation Content

When you build an event, we store the details you enter: event title, host names, start and end dates with explicit timezone, venue name, address, optional map links, invitation wording, selected template styling, and any photos you choose to upload for the invitation cover or gallery.

C. Guest RSVP Answers

When guests respond to an invitation, we record the guest’s name, attendance decision (attending or declined), attending party headcount, and answers to the host’s configured RSVP questions. Guests are not required to create an account, register a password, or download an application to view an invitation or submit a reply.

D. Payment Information

InviteAndGo is designed not to collect or store raw credit card numbers (PANs) or card verification values (CVV/CVC). When manual payment methods are used, we record the pricing tier, currency, amount, payment reference code, and any payment proof/receipt uploaded by the client. Any future online card payment processing is intended to use hosted, tokenized payment providers.

E. Technical Data & Cookies

We use strictly essential technical mechanisms to operate the service: secure HttpOnly session cookies for authenticated hosts, temporary session tokens for guest RSVP editing, and aggregated daily visit counts to power response analytics. We do not use third-party cross-site advertising tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Information

• To render digital invitations and record RSVP replies on behalf of event hosts.
• To display attendance totals, question summaries, and CSV exports to the event host.
• To deliver essential transactional notices, such as password reset instructions.
• To verify capacity tier purchases and activate event publishing.
• To protect our systems against automated abuse, denial-of-service, and fraudulent submissions.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or monetize personal information. Information is shared only as necessary to provide the service:

• Event Hosts: The host of an event can view all RSVP responses submitted for their event.
• Infrastructure Providers: We use cloud infrastructure providers for database hosting, media storage, and transactional email delivery. These providers process data strictly to provide infrastructure capacity.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

4. Data Retention & Privacy Requests

Account details and event data remain accessible while your account is active. Hosts can update event details, close RSVPs, or archive responses from their dashboard. Guests who wish to update or withdraw their reply can use the private edit link provided after submission, or contact their host directly.
